Osteria N.3 was born in 2015 with a single, uncompromising vision: to bring the soul of authentic cuisine to the shores of Cape Verde. What started as a small, intimate eatery has grown into one of Praia's most beloved and recognised dining destinations โ€” but our roots have never changed.

Every dish we serve is a tribute to the tradition, the craft and the passion of our kitchen team. We source our ingredients with obsessive care โ€” locally where possible, always fresh, always chosen for flavour above all else. From hand-rolled pastas to line-caught Atlantic seafood, each plate tells a story.

2015 โ€” The Beginning

Osteria N.3 Opens Its Doors

With 12 tables, a small but dedicated kitchen team and an obsession with authentic flavour, Osteria N.3 opened in Praia, Cape Verde. Within weeks, every seat was taken every evening.

2017 โ€” Growing Recognition

Named Best New Restaurant in Cape Verde

Just two years in, we were honoured with our first major recognition โ€” a nod that validated everything our team had worked tirelessly to build. The queue outside told us what the award confirmed.

2019 โ€” Expansion

Private Dining Room & Extended Kitchen

Responding to growing demand for events and private celebrations, we expanded our space โ€” adding a dedicated private dining room for up to 30 guests and a larger kitchen to match our growing ambitions.

2021 โ€” Innovation

Seasonal Tasting Menu Launched

Our head chef introduced a rotating seasonal tasting menu โ€” a curated six-course journey celebrating local ingredients at their peak. It immediately became one of our most requested dining experiences.

2023 โ€” Community

Cape Verde Culinary Partnership

We formalised our commitment to the local community by partnering with Cape Verde fishermen, farmers and producers โ€” ensuring our menu directly supports those who make our cuisine possible.

With 20 years of culinary experience spanning Milan, Lisbon and Praia, Chef Marco's philosophy is simple: great food starts with great ingredients and a generous heart.
